CVS has about 71 sites in Florida giving out vaccines, yet 67 of them are in maimi/Dade county. What the Hell?

@Mom: I completely agree with you. Too much independent decision making by both the state and the counties. It’s a complete mess in my opinion as well.

i just read that Florida is getting four FEMA sites for COVID Vaccines. Miami, Tampa, Orlando and Jacksonville. What is our part of the State? Chopped liver? Why the glaring omission of the western panhandle? It was designed for teachers and law enforcement fifty and over. I qualify. I’m a teacher with diabetes, heart disease and kidney issues. I should have been able to get a shot before now as I am actively working in the public school system. Shame on you decision makers who decided we don’t count in this part of the state!

I was never called about my appointment. I showed up and was toldI didn’t have one even though I had paperwork to prove otherwise, and was told to come back. I went back and they were out of the vaccine. I’ve received no calls. Ever. Not about what appointment I know I had, not about the vaccine being unavailable and definitely not about a new appointment time. I’m overdue for my 2nd dose and I’m a healthcare provider. There’s no phone number to call to get information, nothing online directs you to a person and emails go unreturned. This system is a mess and they need a task force to actually take calls from the people!! Sacred is being paid for my vaccine that I’m not getting!!
