When they got to the desk that found a list of things that were way tooo much without resources. You had McCall for years, whatever shortcoming he had were not really an issue, he stayed as long as he wanted and no real results. Mr. Hawkins sit in the chair and he has an immediate group of people who seem to wish him trouble. He made it easy to find fault with some of his actions but he was and is a good man. The mess he found and many of the issues that are to be address with this new mayor have been legacy issues. An honest assessment. Stop finding faults and work for solutions. This past week I had gas run to my house. They did a great job with the installation. I have lived at this address over thirty years and during that time I have buried many water and electrical lines. They crew was incredibly careful, taking the time to locate each line before digging, then hand dug about twenty plus feet locating all the lines and when they were complete, the yard was leveled and raked down It looked great. So, thank you to the employees for a fine job. Yes, Century may have its problems but the people that work for city are good people who, like the rest of us, are just out trying to make a living.
