After many weeks, I was finally able to submit for appointment. After completing step 5 of 6, my iPad froze when I got “book appointment.” Very frustrating.

Publix probably expanded all their tech for this but wasn’t a gradual increase, it was an explosion of usage. Most likely worked their IT team over pretty good. I could see this being the beta run to work out bugs just like when the unemployment website kept crashing last year in the early announcements to get on the website. After a week or so (maybe more, that seems like years ago) things worked alot better. The one things that is troubling that i hear and see mentioned in this thread is the elderly are getting technologically left behind. I see it in my computer illiterate parents. I just went on the site to see what they were talking about and although it looks simplified and appointments were closed, from what they described, it was a wait until something happened with no way to input any information or get any information time killing black hole. I usually find that they were missing a step or didn’t understand a clickable link was there or something. I guess i had to explain it in terms as a busy signal before the days of call waiting on a phone in pre cell phone days. I could see how that would be hard on someone who doesn’t “do the internet” on another thought. The car warranty people managed to trick me today, maybe they could handle the appointment setting side on the vaccine

I have been checking for the last 6 days for an appointment. I can’t find a place where I can register to be in some kind of line for when there is an appointment open. I don’t get it. They are giving vaccines all day long? There has to be an easier method of providing these vaccines to the public. I have no idea what to do because if I show up and not registered it’s probably a waste of time. It shoud be easier!

I got up at 530 tp make an appt I was in que until 625 at that time a server error #500 appeared (a catch all) so I tried continually until 640 then finally got back on. And… all appts in Escambia, Santa Rosa, Okaloosa and Walton counties were filled. I’ve been on ECHD’s call list since Jan 11th. Nothing. It’s very upsetting,

I got online at 5:45 a.m. and updated my page every few seconds. Finally at 6:03 a.m. it said I was in the que. After waiting for an hour and a half, I got a 500 error message and the screen went white. I reentered and it again said I was in the que, but I wasn’t sure if I was in the same place in line or being treated as if I just got in line at 7:30 a.m. Didn’t matter because it almost immediately gave the 500 error again and after several tries to get back in I gave up and went back to bed. I won’t bother with Publix website again. I got noting out of the 1 1/2 hours except tired all day.

Since Publix started giving folks appt for shots, I have yet seen an appt available. Come on man with all these stores in Pensacola you can’t buy an appt. How many appts are available in one day? How long does take to give a person a shot? How much vaccine does Publix have? They need a better way of getting an appt. Can you all just have a drive thru shot clinic?

I’ve been trying to get a vaccine for my 87 year old mom for over a month. This is crap. Ascension says no availability. West Florida said they are only giving it to healthcare workers… How did Publix give out 9000 vaccines and I have yet to see any availability. I have an application in and I was told there were 6300 people on that wait list… so how do people get appointments at Publix. The wait list is suppose to be calling us! RIDICULOUS!

I was signed on the Publix web site before 6am. Was booted off around 6:30. Tried to log back in and it said the site didn’t exist. They need to make their web site user friendly. I’ve signed up at the county everyday for weeks and finally received an email Monday acknowledging my request but no offer of an appointment. Guess I’ll keep trying. My mother is 96 yrs old and I sure would like to get her inoculation.
