I agree with many people that it should stay the same.
However, the left, and young fools consumed by the filth that cable and the internet has brought have already destroyed anything sacred to normal folks. Heck, we're now the minority. They've made their filth become the normal and we've become the oddballs. Besides, there's far worse things going on that's not only legal, but accepted, celebrated even. That being said, look at the people you have had coming to Pensacola since the 1960's for Memorial Weekend for a dollar. I say who cares. I want it to happen. Sooner or later, good folks will get tired of the insanity going on and raise up.

All for lifting this old blue law.

I grocery shopping maybe once a week at most. Sometimes on Sunday mornings.

I don’t purchase wine to start drinking in the parking lot, or to drink on any morning, including Sunday. Drinks are for serving with good food or to settle down into a movie or good book.

I’ve always been bewildered that I should have to go to the store a second time if I shopped during Sunday blue law hours to complete my shopping.

If such laws are to give a hat tip to Christian faith worship, then a newer problem has manifested in recent years. Some churches now have Saturday evening worship services, and some have 5 pm services, in addition to Sunday mornings. This easily demonstrates why such a blue law is archaic. If it’s not archaic, then the time of sales bans should now be expanded from Saturday afternoon to Sunday night.

Some very thoughtful and also some very ignorant posts. From my perspective, our greater threat is not the availability of alcohol on Sundays. The actual threat are those pious, self-righteous, and repugnant people that build themselves up by judging and forcing their opinions on others. You proclaim being pro-life but what have you done to help single moms and children? Very likely you have done nothing outside of having a heartless opinion. You sneer at anyone who fornicates outside of marriage because of your own rigid sexual dysfunction. What have you done to help and feed the homeless regardless of their plight? Very likely nothing other than cackle with your like-minded friends about how bad they make your neighborhood look. You openly give a protracted thanks in IHOP for your pancakes but it’s merely to call attention to yourself (look at me, look at me, I’m a good person) and fuel your narcissism. In your Sunday clothes, you perform your obligatory best being careful not to disturb your pit of snakes and become the subject of their gossip. You post “Black Lives Matter” on your lawns to convey solidarity but without the small print that coveys the real truth: Black Lives Matter (but not in my zip code). Yes, I too am equally guilty of all the above and for that, I ask your forgiveness. However, and more importantly I ask that you Love others in your actions, words, and thoughts. Love others without seeking attention for yourself or your tribe. Love others simply because they each are a Divine (or cosmic wonder, or statistically significant anomaly, etc.) creation. Whether religious, spiritual, atheist, or agnostic, focus and work on your flaws rather than judging others. Remember that evil cohorts appear as deceptive ministers of righteousness. Love others and be kind and generous. Eventually, we all will pass from this existence and with time, we will all be forgotten but while here, we should Love others as it is needed most.

Finally someones silly religion wont control how other people want to spend money. Imagine if we couldn't buy pork because of Islam? Thats how it feels when you can't buy beer on Sunday.

I thought y'all wanted to government to stay out of our business? Oh...only when it's convenient for you and your beliefs?

Alcohol is legal in this country and it's silly that it can't be sold by a PRIVATE BUSINESS on a Sunday morning.

News flash--not everyone believes in Jesus.

I can't wait to buy a 12 back on Sunday morning on the way to the golf course.

I'm not a Christian/Religious and see no reason to follow their beliefs so thanks for finally giving us some freedom from religious persecution which our ancestors fought for so long ago.
