Venting a patient is the very last resort. Most are recovering when hospitalized with O2 supplemental. They are being treated with remdesiver, ivermectin, zinc, vit c, and vit d. If they do not need hospitalization, most are treated with azithromycin and a steroid pack. We have lost many patients due to complications from Covid-19, unfortunately.

They stated a month or so ago that there was proven meds that saved lives. There were other proven life saving things as well. Are these things being used? I don't hear anything about the medicine anymore good or bad. Can't help but wonder. Hope someone knows the answer.

Mr Reality:
I don't know what numbers you are referencing. I have to assume you are just very confused.
We do not have 263 people in ICU in Escambia County. We have 263 people hospitalized with COVID-19. Not all of them are in ICU, and not all of them are on vents. Furthermore, not all the people in ICU with COVID-19 will need to be on vents.
All the article is telling you is that there are 263 people in the hospital with COVID-19 in Escambia County, and of those people 73 are presumably on a vents (and based on the number of available vents, you would assume the other 190 people hospitalized with COVID-19 don't currently require a ventilator).

wait, something aint adding up...Do we have people in ICU that are NOT on vents? If we have 263 people in ICU and had 215 TOTAL vents in the county, 142 WERE NOT BEING USED.....So we have 121 people in ICU on vents out of 263 people....why are the others in ICU then? Hummmmm makes you wonder.....in other words, ICU should be for those who need vents, IMO....otherwise our ICU will stay full....DUH
