Wildlife really don&#039;t care for Overcup oak acorns because the cup encloses nearly the whole acorn. The are that way because it&#039;s a wetland tree and that big cup helps the acorns to float to new areas.

The good thing about Overcup oak is that they don&#039;t get as tall as other oaks, so they should hold up to hurricanes a little better. They are not for dry areas though, they like water.</description>

		<description>I love the Savannah Holly - the berries are good for birds.  However,
 - not overcup oak or willow oak.The acorns may be on the top of food preference list for squirrels and smaller rodents as well as larger animals such as wild turkeys, hogs and white-tailed deer but not for my yard. 
The sweetgum trees are pretty but produce many messy \\&quot;gumballs,\\&quot; or seed pods.</description>
