Under staff, underpay and working with the worse of humanity. Corrections officer have to be a Policeman, fireman and emt. Yet the state of Florida does not pay them a decent salary. Up north and west cos make twice as much just out of the academy . So appreciate what a though job they have. Most elected politicians and civilians will not last a shift in their shoes.

@Gator, I guess you used to live there, apparently you know how it is inside the gates, so you should know this happens in prison. Century is doing really well compared to the rest of the State Facilities. I tell my kids that unless they know what they’re talking about, don’t say anything at all, I think that you should take the same advice, just spit balling here.

@ Ye Wise One. How could this be happening in such a nice gates community? There has been many shootings and deaths in Escambia County in last few month and nothing has been resolved. Why not close Escambia County? Prisons are like cities where we send criminals. Even the violent ones.

CCI should be closed!
Violence is an everyday occurrence there and apparently nothing is being resolved.
