Well as I was sitting outside on New Year’s Eve listening to what sounded like St Petersburg under siege, I remember that whatever becomes illegal becomes bootlegged. So if fireworks became illegal in Florida people were just smuggle them in from the Carolinas and still shoot them off, once the explosion goes off, the evidence disappears nobody can prove anything. So my fellow residents of Florida unfortunately were stuck with what we have.

The fireworks in my neighborhood were constant all day up until 2:00 in the morning I could not get any sleep my pets were freaking out what can we do to change this law this is absolutely ridiculous. they should be illegal all the time. I guess this won’t stop until somebody gets seriously hurt again

There is such a thing as respect for your neighbors and the Elderly, Babies, Animals, those with health issues, Post Traumatic Stress, Nurses, Doctors etc, have to work the next day all need sleep and calm. If you want to be in a War zone then go fight a war but. Bomb bangs from +4pm all thru 4am next day not fair to us who live so close and need our sleep how about if we go beeping our horns the next morning to you who were up all night disturbing all of us, have some respect.

Its ridiculous to allow for 48 hours in a row. I can see new years eve. But why all day on the first. Animals truly get sick but red necks could care less. Ought to be a window is all im saying. Its the 2nd and my neighbors are still shooting them off.

They are still going off left and right in my neighborhood. Started at 530 pm and stopped when it was raining then started back up. It’s right outside my house so no sleep for awhile. Happy New Year’s and have a safe one.

I agree it should be New Years Eve and not Not Years Day – too long of extended loud noises, especially for vets and animals that have sensitive hearing.

So, so far I haven’t found between what times these fireworks can be set off. Some people have to work the next day. It is now 11:15 pm and they are still going strong. So, that means for 24 hours on the 4th of July the public and nervous animals can be exposed to this. On New Years eve and Day, that’s 48 hours.
