The escalated crime and violence in Escambia county as well as across the country is the very reason I got a conceal and carry gun license and don’t leave home without my pistol. Hope I never have to use it but I will be prepared if needed

Violent crime, child abuse/neglect, homelessness, and horrible car accidents are getting bad in Escambia county, and it’s all due to our three main problems: drug addicts, drug addicts, and drug addicts.

The violence in Pensacola and surrounding areas has been escalating lately. I notice there seems to be at least 1 person shot every other day, and sometimes every day for a while. I personally think there are too many people with little or no maturity, coupled with easily available drugs and alcohol, and law enforcement who cannot, or will not, do their job. STILL think “…lives matter?” Apparently in Pensacola the only lives that matter are those with the biggest gun or knife.

I wonder how this will play out. Stand your ground, self defense? The step son has a few arrest on his record for drugs, assault, weapon offence, very sad indeed for all involved. A son gone, husband, or ex-husband now under arrest. There is no winner, only a family torn apart from domestics violence’s. Prayers for all of the family members this has touched.

I remember my late husband saying – when people are lied to, lose their jobs, can’t feed their family – and lose their homes – MURDER will happen because their reality is more than they can bare AND survival becomes dominant!!
And demeaning a new President with LIES doesn’t help the situation at all—GET OVER IT and worry about your fellow citizens that are emotionally stressed
