Not just your family, but the family of everyone you meet. You get to decide whether or not that little girl will be an orphan. Whether that young man will have to bury his young wife and the child she is carrying. Whether that grandmother will live to hold her grandchild.

But you don’t really decide because you don’t know if you are infected, infectious or if the people you meet are.

The proper response to ignorance is precaution.

As to blaming China for deaths caused by Florida’s measures to slow the spread of the disease, why? Didn’t Governor DeSantis give you control over that? The Chinese government has many faults, but they fought hard to contain the disease. While some of the earliest known cases had a link to a wholesale food market in Wuhan, China the first 33 or so did not. (We strongly suspect origin in China, since a virus was discovered there 96.2% similar to SARS-CoV-2, but we don’t know where the virus went before it came back to China.) China warned us it was bad.
