THE VIRUS DOESN’T CARE.

Interesting that you would doubt the obvious. If you do not have it, you do not spread it — you just don’t really know you don’t. You don’t know who does. Those who do have it are the only ones who infect others.

Not that it perfectly applies, but if you had a filter which blocked an invisible, odorless gas which killed or sickened all who inhaled it after 3 days to a week and everyone you met might be giving off this gas, what would be the right number to have using a filter?

In fact, though, it is pointed out big increases tend to follow large family gatherings. Times of large groups close together, masks/filters off to eat and drink together. Times to share good and bad. Preferably not to kill loved ones.

I don’t know where you live, but in Escambia County we have a huge problem with people not wearing masks. Wherever I go, the vast majority of people are either not wearing masks or wearing the under their chins to “own the libs”.

A New Year is a time for resolutions and changed behavior. Might I suggest resolving to protect your community? I promise, wearing a mask isn’t that difficult.

Then what is causing the increase in COVID hospitalizations?

Sooner or later we all have to accept that the reasons for the increase is that a lot of people are not following the CDC recommendations: wear a mask (properly), wash your hands often, don’t touch your face, keep six feet apart in social situations, stay at home.

Maybe if ALL of our “leaders” advocated for following the CDC guidelines we wouldn’t have so many cases and deaths. I’m looking at you Trump, DeSantis, Gaetz.
