It seems to me that most roadwork should be done at night. There is no traffic disruptions and the guys working stay cooler and much safer.

Yea it was a tough call but certainly had to be done. But super kudos to the guys out there away from their families and bustin their butts to get it done. Without them what would we do. Yes it was a drag but when we consider the options …thanks again crew and bless you.

What is the first nightmare, choosing to live 45 minutes from work? Having a job during the pandemic? Both of those aren’t quite what I’d call nightmares, but I guess that depends on our respective frames of reference. Do you like having electricity? This was well publicized in advance in a number of ways, so no excuse except for out of town drivers. What might be a good time for some is not for others, no matter what time is chosen. It will always be a bad time for someone. There is no way to please everyone. I would think that a night time closure would make for a greater chance in the dark, with less forward visibility & drivers often speeding (most probably doing at least 70), of a dangerous higher risk of rear end collisions to stopped or slow moving vehicles.

In response to this topic, we should look at how many Traffic Employees that are saved from working at night hours under the cover of darkness. Changing their sleep habit. Those families that won’t lose a love one.

If you look at the construction / traffic worker auto incidents we can take this traffic jam as a sacrifice for livea. California lose love ones because people are inpatient and entitled in their personality.

If you hit a sinkhole will you then wanted to know it was fixed asap…before your rush to work ? Or from Mall… check your local am channels for traffic Updates…. get in touch with your local community.. Ber they knew.

Man, every me, me, me complaint. There were people out there working and with quite a few drivers that disregard things like speed limits, road crews and the need to tailgate, text, talk on their cell so just be glad someone is doing the job to keep our power lines updated. If not the whine when your power is off will be the next complaint.

They did not notify of closure, The signs say expect delays with the date and time. said nothing about closing it down. That would have been some good information to have.
