REGARDING:
"This is not Governor DeSantis or President Trump’s fault."

Not the existence of the disease, no. Reduction in rate of spread? Certainly.

Mocking those who wore masks led many to not wear them. Sure, they aren't 100% effective but while a chain is only as strong as its weakest link, a rope is as strong as the sum of its strengths. Every reduction in transmission reduces chance for infection, sickness, more spreading, more death.

Calling for crowds to gather is obviously increasing the opportunities to infect others, more sickness, more spreading, more death.

Pushing medicines that don't work, calling it "just a case of sniffles," just a HOAX, a Democratic trick convinces them there is nothing to protect about. You don't do what is inconvenient if there is no reason to.

It also takes time and resources from productive work.

AND
"Personal choices are what make people sick, not politicians"

True, BUT those personal decisions are affected by information supplied by politicians. When they lie, they create doubt and cause people to ignore better advice by those who do NOT lie for personal benefit. And the sick aren't the only ones making decisions. The ones who choose to risk infecting them play a part.

@ Just Saying: This is not Governor DeSantis or President Trump's fault. The spread is based on human behavior.

1. Wear a mask. Many either refuse or choose not to. I am not one of those.
2. Keep your hands washed, sanitized and away from your face. Many choose not to, but I am not one of them.
3. Avoid large crowds and practice social distancing to the extent possible, or wear a mask when you can't. I teach school and I have managed NOT to get COVID because I observe these precautions and I expect students to do the same, at least while they are in my care.
4. Do your research and take supplements (such as chellated zinc and vitamin D3) that are shown to assist in resisting COVID.

Just because you CAN do things like we did pre-COVID does not mean we SHOULD. Personal choices are what make people sick, not politicians

The political rhetoric is old and frankly, I think most of us are sick of hearing it.
