The truth is, folks are driving faster everywhere. Look at I-10, I’m driving the speed limit and almost everyone passes me like I’m sitting still. Also, use common sense. if you see a dump truck coming, assume they’re going to run the light. Not being able to make a safe stop is a legit defense in court. I know, there’s what should be and then there’s what is. Yes, folks are supposed to stop at a red light, but consider this: If they can’t stop at the red light, what makes you think they can stop from hitting you, just because it’s “well the light is green so it’s my turn.” Also, IMO, it’s the first light, because they can’t get enough speed for the other lights, so it’s alot easier to stop.

Who Cares: Your right about hwy 29. Just this morning at the same location 2 dump trucks ran the red light big time both with a full load. Going way to fast for them to even stop. If I could have caught up with them I would have got company name. No respect for other drivers in this town. Its like driving in Tijuana around here. Law enforcement could make a fortune for the county on driving violations alone. And the crossover at 29 and N Tate Rd is just as bad.

Hwy 29 sucks you have a red light avery two blocks when one turns green go
two blocks the next turn red.there are 8 red lights in a two mi.from muskogee rd to nine road. County commissioners say the light best sencunize lights in fl. They said they spend over 400.000 on the light system.

The way U.S. 29 is…. FDOT may as well take down all stop lights, speed limit signs and any other regulatory engineering safety devices and let’m have at it… The only way to slow down folks is to take-up the pavement…
