They will do what they want regardless of what you want. This is a dog and pony show to make you feel like you have an input but they will ignore you entirely when decisions are finalized

I’m interested to see what is driving this meeting? Are manufacturers looking at moving into these areas to create jobs? If not, why wouldn’t you just take each parcel and look at changing the zoning based on need? What’s the hurry? And why re zone all of these in one swoop?

It takes jobs to support developmemt. What we need is a plain to support your developent ideas. Infistructor. This is another tax payer loss. The only ones to gain out of this is county taxes and gready contractors. We need to finish some of the pork projects you have going on know. Maybe we need to look into some NOT all new leadership. You have thee meetings but don't listen to what the people want.

What is AG land needs to stay as AG land. Why not repurpose properties that are vacant, for sale, sitting empty, etc...those properties are everywhere and left unattended making the area look bad and invites problems-varments of all shapes, sizes and species that affect neighboring homes and communities negatively.

Besides I moved to they country to enjoy the country. I like living close enough to help my neighbors, but far enough to not hear their personal business. I like my fresh air and the wild life. I like seeing land worked, the cycles of tilling, seeding, growing and harvesting. The smell of fresh tilled land and fresh cut hay. Support you local AG, they feed and clothe you. Stop taking the land.

They are also changing the definition of "existing rural communities" to make it so broad with their "and/or"s that it will allow protected Ag land to convert to Rural Community (RC) Future Land Use also which allows 2 houses per acre.
Read all the proposed changes and language, not just what the proponents are saying.

They could just expand Rural Community FLU where it makes sense without carving up farmland and open space so broadly and creating sprawl.
Every lot of record allows a home now, no matter the size of the property.
This is being done for subdivision developers.
