Jeans, work boots. Get assigned to a truck. Make sure truck crew is picking up roadside tree debris. When truck is full, give truck an electronically printed ticket. Wait in vehicle for truck to return. Verify truck is empty. Repeat. Pay is $12 an hour, $18 an hour at overtime. You're a nanny making sure the crews aren't grabbing stuff from areas they aren't supposed to be in. 40 hours is really easy to get to. Money is being made in the overtime. No mileage being paid because you aren't driving more than 20 minutes to any of the locations where you'll be working. I love the math of people just guessing. Crackheads have to pass a piss test. Positions aren't being filled because the job specifies 7 days a week, be available. It's a job where you sit on your butt most of the day... "OMG, they call it work all they do is sit..." You have to account for the law that says every hour over 40 is counted 1.5 times. It’s called overtime. Unless you’re on salary it’s a very important thing to understand when you get paid.
