A big heartfelt thank you to all the linemen who worked so diligently to get our power up and running again here in Escambia county and other counties!! 5 1/2 days is very impressive to get everybody’s power restored! We would be in a world of hurt if it weren’t for the amazing lineman restoring the power. Thank you again for your service to our community!

Dear Marlene Santos, president of Gulf Power, in the Wildwood Lakes Sub., Bauer Rd. power was restored by lineman from N.Carolina. However, when pwr restored on 9/20/20 @ 4:08 pm a spike was recorded @ 6:59 pm. Then today at 9/24/20, spike at 5:00 am, then a power surge, then another spike, another power surge, then power back on. I do report via Gulf Power app but what is the problem and do not say "a squirrel". I have recorded spikes & power surges since 2012.

I appreciate all of the power crews and related personnel, both local and out-of-town, and the work they did to get us up and running again.

I do question how GP has re-oriented its emergency power restoration strategy after being bought-out by the successor company, and think it needs to be re-examined.

Former GP employees have advised that it was a largely unorganized "cluster" operation and not handled in the efficient and proficient manner GP had used in the past, post hurricane. In other words, the priority of restoration ran amok, and it was largely hit or miss with much inefficiency, poor crew placement, and lack of communication.

We all are relieved -- of course -- when the power comes back on and tend to quickly and happily forget the misery of going without. However, that does not excuse the inefficiency in restoring it, even when GP can crow about meeting the deadline it set, because with a better plan, ALL power could have been restored sooner and in a more efficient and effective manner.

I hope they never know firsthand what it's like to do totally without power for so many days! God Bless !!!

My shout out to the power crews and their incredible work. Thanks for working endless hours and through the elements to get our power back on. Don't mind the Karen's complaints. They are a spoiled generation.

I just wanted to thank all of the wonderful different power companies that have restored our power though out the area. As hard as they have had to work they still had a very nice attitude when asked a question. I would like to thank each one of them for their wonderful service.
