From my 45 years of operating motorcycles “safely”…. An experienced & sound judgmental motorcyclist would not pass another motor vehicle when there is a chance a turn might be imminent. The operator should look ahead and obtain proper situational awareness. This is taught in every Motorcycle Safety Foundation class I’ve attended since the mid-80’s… It’s to your benefit while keeping the odds in your favor.

First I offer prayers and condolences to the family.

The FHP has a website where you can register your emergency contacts in case of emergency like this. I urge everyone to register for the sake of your loved ones. My daughter was in a serious car accident last year and the FHP did an excellent job of contacting family right away. I will post the link if permitted, if not just google “FHP in case of emergency “.

This was a daily rider. His family was not notified about this accident from
authorities. His wife did not find him until after midnight ! He was a son, Father, Grandfather, husband, Brother in law, retired US Navy,. . He was a good human…. a good man lost his life Sat. Night. He will be missed. Even in death, he was still giving and contributing to his fellow man as he was an organ donator to which several benefitted from his kind, generosity.
