I totally agree with the hwy 29 project. Roads inc gets $48.9 million for the 2.6 mile stretch of road. Get it done by the original contract period time or get fined! Perhaps Roads Inc “have too many irons in the fire”

The original flyer for the timeline for the Hwy 29 from 9 mile to i-10 was started in
the fall of 2016 and to be completed by summer of 2020. 4 years to finish 2.6 miles
of road. Now the estimated completion is summer of 2021. Really? 5 years.
When you apparently give the construction company an open deadline with no incentives to complete early or penalties for not completing on time. This is what you get. They should be getting fined every day past the original stated completion date.
I also know they have had at least 3 different project managers. Last but not least.
All last week I did not a see any construction. Very little in the past month. Nice job
Florida Dept of Transportation for making such a great deal for the people of Pensacola to put up with 5 long years of hassles to get to school and work.

Please get something done this time! It’s been taking to long to complete these road projects. It’s a big inconvience if things don’t get DONE!

The road construction on Hwy 29 has been the biggest screw up on record.
The design engineer isn’t the smartest guy in class. He needs to take a closer look at intersections on hwy 29 and state rd. 196 also hwy 29 and state rd 182
major screw ups.
