Watch how quickly it gets shut down once school opens. You can put your head in the sand but it’s not going to change anything. The virus doesn’t give sports a pass! Just ignorant.

Local high schools freahman, jv and varsity football players have been practicing all summer long already. The coaches have gone to great lengths to follow recommended social distancing and santizing practices put down from the FHSAA and School District. The number of gamea have been cut and they are only playing in District and two SRC games for the most part. Only a certain number of people will be allowed in. They are absolutely doing the best they can but some don’t realize that these kids need this, 66% of student athletes in Florida have shown signs of depression because of the stress of not being involved in sports like normal. If you aren’t happy about the football games being played guess what….. Don’t go!!

Schools, and some entire districts, have shut down within two weeks of opening. Pro sports, even with all their resources, can’t get it right. But, hey, let’s see if this dog can hunt?

I thought kids were “almost immune” what’s the big deal????

Give it a month some schools will be closing, many kids will be forced to quarantine, and a lot of these same parents are gonna be PISEED!

It’s sad we’re still doing the wrong things… But we couldn’t shut down PROPERLY in the first place.

If he had THEN we could be back to some kind of normal. Us Americans gotta have that essential Mc-Donald’s and Starbucks!!!!!!!!

BILL, could you be more dramatic and scream “what about the children?”

This virus will become a thing of the past in short order around Nov. And if you have a health issues then dont go to the games.

I dont sit at home for fear of the flu, and that last round of flu was bad,

Let those that want to do this do so with out you shaming or creating drama around it. There is more to health than fending off a virus, mental and emotional health take a toll when there is no sense of normal. And playing sports is and will always be normal for growing kids and teaching them teamwork and social skills.
