REGARDING:
" “new zealand had 0 deaths because they wore masks”

"New Zealand has had 22 deaths."

True, but none since May 29 and just 1,589 cases total -- ten of which were yesterday.

We had 107,259 as of May 29, versus 169,131 today, 61,872 deaths ago. We've had 5,360,302 cases so far.
https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/

New Zealand took it seriously even though they did have those ten new cases yesterday. Escambia County alone alone had some 12 times that.

New Zealand's population is 5,002,100
USA's population is 331,229,890 or 66.22 times the population of New Zealand.
It would be like us having 1,467 deaths (22 x 66.22).
Another way of putting it is that instead of us having 66.22 times as many deaths as New Zealand, we had 7,688 times as many (and counting).

If half of the prison population is already positive (most of them show no signs) - and if the guards are positive but feeling perfectly fine - why can’t they guard the positive half of the inmates? all the people so concerned about the welfare of the inmates should volunteer to work there for a couple of weeks. Take a leave of absence from your regular job and walk in someone else’s shoes.
Not that far fetched - in Europe they are contemplating bringing back 1 year of mandatory public service for all young people - two fold advantage - helps the country deal with emergencies plus keeps punks out of trouble by teaching them discipline and work ethic

C&P.

Just call in and say you’re running a fever and that you called your doctor and was told to self-quarantine until the results come in.

A prison guard is expected to deal with dangerous situations but you also have the right to answers and simply not be cannon fodder. You deserve the information you need to keep your loved ones safe as well.

Not sure what is the hold up but the guards at CCI took test last week and they have not received the results yet. I do know that they were told even with a positive result, as long as they are not showing any Covid signs, they are still required to return to work- which is absolutely ridiculous. Couple of months ago if they went and got tested they were told to not return to work until results came back or 14 days. Makes me wonder if they have the results and are just not telling the guards to keep them coming to work. This is highly dangerous for everyone. I understand they need people at work but this is just a potential to spread it to many more. Why did the inmates get the results back so quickly but the guards are taking forever? I know—- inmates can’t go anywhere and they need the guards at work. No matter the cost.
