Why were only 10-12 parents contacted? They only contacted the students that sat next to the student. What about the students that rode the bus with that same student? What about all the students they were near in the hallways? The teacher or teachers aide whom have probably had close contact with the student? I thought the idea was to quarantine the whole class following a positive test? And are those 10-12 required to quarantine or are parents given the option to continue to send their student?
Just asking so that I understand the possibilities.

Under the circumstances, perhaps the hospital used a rapid test when the child was brought in?

If so, then it is possible the parents had no reason to suspect their child was sick on Monday morning if they were not waiting on results of a test the child hadn't taken yet.

Either way, I'm grateful the parents and school acted fast when they did know.

There had to be a reason the child was tested. Maybe they had been exposed to the virus or maybe they had been showing signs of being sick with it . With that being said why was the child in school before getting the results ? Don't think I'm blaming the child cause I'm not . In my opinion an adult has put 10 - 12 other children at risk.
Get well soon little one .
