Perhaps the first ones on the Born Learning Trail in Century could be the council members, since they obviously haven't learned anything yet.

Wonderful idea and thank you to all volunteers who took time out of their day to spread the fun of learning for our children. However, the town of Jay needs to consider repaving the trail due to uneven pavement where tree roots have grown under. This makes it very difficult to go on family walks with the elderly, small children and strollers. Not to mention, it is a MAJOR safety hazard. It will not be a good situation if someone were to fall and break a hip due to the lack of maintenance on the trail.

This is a wonderful idea, but I agree with the previous commenter, the trail needs to be resurfaced or someone is going to get hurt. I go walking on it often and have to be careful near the trees because the pavement is so crumpled, it’s a hazard. The tree roots have grown through it. You can’t even take a baby stroller over it without having to raise the front wheels and then raise the back wheels as if going over logs in the middle of a road (jarring an infant baby). You can’t go around it either. I enjoy walking the trail but get so frustrated on that South West side. For a few years, in that same area there was old turf that was rolled up and you had to maneuver around. It’s finally gone, thankfully. The restrooms are another eyesore. They are never clean, despite the fact that they are so old, they could at least be cleaned regularly. This could be such a nice park, it’s sad that Jay doesn’t take more pride in it and keep it up properly.

That’s great and all but the asphalt is so tore up from tree roots that somebody will one day either trip, stumble and /or falls because of it . The path is great but that is truly a problem on the south west side .
