Psychiatry is the only branch of medicine that can get away with doing the terrible things that that do without any scientific basis, they just throw drugs at these people and hope something works. No one in their right mind wants to live like that and no one chooses to be an addict, that's a myth created by people that have no clue as to what they are talking about. More people end up addicted due to medical conditions rather than choice and the same goes for alcoholics, it's not as simple as you think. I pass by this camp every day on the way to and from work, and I can't believe the trash and littering and sleeping on the sidewalk under the overpass is not stopped. If these people weren't on drugs or alcohol there are places that will help them, but they choose to beg to stoke their habits and live on the streets. I'm saddened for the woman who was killed, and for the growing homeless problem in our city. PLEASE don’t give these beggars money!
