Kenneth “Kenny” Lavone Slater

Kenneth “Kenny” Lavone Slater of Molino, FL lost his battle with cancer on July 27, 2020. He was 64 years old. Kenny was born on January 27, 1956 in Flomaton, AL.

He worked for Vanity Fair for 15 years and eventually retired from Pat’s Flag Car Service in 2014. He is preceded in death by his father Floyd Slater, mother Lillie Slater and sister Linda Peacock.

He is survived by his sons, Chris (Jessica) Slater and Scott (Tasha) Slater, both of Milton, FL; grandchildren, Elizabeth & Madelyn, Skylar & Rae and Grace & Hunter; sister, Clara Bonner of Needham, AL; brother, Gerald (Flo) Cofield of Flomaton, AL and also many nieces and nephews and special friends.

Graveside services will be held Saturday, August 1, 2020 at 10:00 AM at Traveler’s Rest Cemetery in Flomaton, AL with Pastor Ben James of Mt. Sterling Baptist Church (Butler, AL) officiating.
