It is time to get the economy moving again. I had 60 Part-time personnel working for me prior to COVID and now only 15...part of the reason is COVID, but most of it is because many of them are suckling the unemployment cow for $700 plus per week and dont want to return until after the money runs out. (As I guess a couple of the earlier respondents are). If you are scared to work, fine, quit taking the money and stay home. But if you need to work, you better get to looking, at the end of the month when the government train quits running, everyone will be out searching. PS... those of you making excuses and not working as you get all this unemployment, dont be talking about people on welfare, because you are on it now, it is just rebranded.

Yes wages in Florida and many other states are decades behind the states with good wages. This is certainly not the time to be opening schools and the full work force if they ever expect the hospitals to stop overflowing. I wish leadership was on the peoples side instead they are full of corporate greed instead of our lives.

It’s absolutely moronic to push people back into employment out of desperation.
The minimum wage and wages in Florida are severely deficient.
Let’s focus on mitigating the pandemic and raise wages.
Florida wages are stuck in the 70s.
Fight for $15.00

It is good to see the numbers dropping. I expect to see a decrease in July as well and if the Federal Unemployment $600 payments are not renewed (highly unlikely) or are significantly reduced (possible) starting August 1, that will push additional people into the workforce who are currently sitting on the sidelines.
