Congratulations Councilwoman Spencer!

Century needs leadership. Bold, yet properly sized strides are needed to move the Town into a better future.

There is a tendency to think too small, and to isolate (or believe in isolation) out of fear and being overwhelmed. I would strongly suggest making connections to the federal and state legislators, and especially Escambia County and City of Pensacola elected and administrative personnel to gain ideas. Develop a rapport with Northview HS, PSC, PSC, and UWF to strengthen education for your fellow citizens. Find pathways to improve infrastructure and the economy. Mitigate to better prepare and recover from natural disasters. Prepare for a warmer climate and seek ways to use energy efficiently and sustainably.

Think to the future, avoid getting mired in the ruts of tradition, and take it all one day and one step at a time. The future of Century is at hand. Good luck to you.
