I see damages estimated at a little over 12 Thousand Dollars. So often restitution is never paid to the victims, or their insurers. Wouldn’t it be great, if in addition to bail money, a restitution escrow fee was required to get out of jail? If found innocent, they get the money back. If guilty, it goes to the victims, so at least they get something, which often is nothing. It could be based on a percentage of damage caused. If that person is on the Public Dole (Welfare), take a monthly fee out of what they receive, until full restitution is repaid to the victim, or their insurance company. Probably would make too much sense, & some would cry as being unfair.

I feel horrible for his parents. They are both truly wonderful people and his Dad was a huge mentor to the many, many rec. soccer kids that he coached. I hate it that Andy has done himself. He hung out with a great group of athletes in high school who are all largely doing very well. It is just sad…..

$32,500 for attempting to kill someone with a vehicle? If not kill , this guy was definitely out to do serious bodily harm to the female and the person she was with, not to mention the fact he was endangering all the people on the street while he was throwing his little fit. He needs to stay behind bars if for no other reason than to protect the public form his careless acts and his self obsessed behavior.
