The fact that no one that has commented knows what the meaning of racism is. You all mean to say this is discrimination, which this is. I’m not black and can’t get anything of this, but I know for sure not a single individual commenting, including myself, would want to trade our lives with black people. Racism is systematic, racism isn’t saying the n word. None of us, including you other minorities are looked down upon like the blacks.

I have a great deal of sympathy for all the small businesses in Escambia County. I know that most have committed their lives and fortunes to developing their business. I know currently that many are hurting, and some will not survive. I also know that when state owned institutions, power monopolies, and government funded chambers start selecting monetary grants to businesses based on the color of the owners skin, we all can see the real definition of racism. When responsible people choose to pick one skin color over another, you are a racist!!!! I think the idea is very commendable, but let’s include my favorite Asian nail shop or my favorite Mexican restaurant or perhaps all Escambia county small businesses.
