I remember performing with a music group there as an adult along with other festivities. What I'm seeing with this decision is protesting is fine but not celebrating the freedom we have to do such. Most cited Covid19.... but all of the same cities encourage and join in all of the protest going on every day. Tell the truth, you do not want to spend the money and more than that is, letting history die. The 4th in Flomaton and Century and South Flomaton as it was in the 70's. .....it was SOMETHING everyone looked forward to. Shows, booths, food, treasure hunts, all started very early in the morning and all ended with a spectacular fire works show..Just very sad our kids and grand kids will never see that because of weak government in our cities.
