REGARDING:
"Would you behave any differently with a flu outbreak? You know that comes every year without fail. Every year they have a vaccine. Every year thousands of people die from the flu."

Obviously we would because we do. Flu is a known killer and we know we can survive it. We have some control over our lives even if that control sometimes kills us. If we inadvertently infect someone else with flu, they had a chance to be vaccinated so it isn't completely our fault if they die.

With this one we have no immunities from it. It hurts the weakest. After it seems to be past, it sometimes attacks small children -- even though doctors figured out how to treat and save those.

In the USA they have recorded 108,059 deaths today and counting -- way more than 24,000, 60,000 on a very bad year.

It worries us more than flu does because we've been lied to so much about it. We were told it was a HOAX while people were visibly dying. We were told it was contained while we knew it had spread all over Europe and the Middle East. The only ones being blocked from coming in were national Chinese. (Imagine bragging about damming half a river or roofing a third of the house, feeding a quarter of your children and pets.) Infected people from China, Europe and the Middle East were
not blocked until long after advisors had called for it. .

When we are led by a perpetual liar, we remain ignorant even when others tell us the truth because we mistakenly think he wouldn't lie just for his personal gain.

We also remember there will be others in the future. Some may be even worse. We can't trust our leaders to be prepared next time either. President Obama had set up procedures for hospitals and schools and labs to be prepared. He had people in places like China to be on early lookout. His replacement threw out the procedures (later told us they never were imagined, complained BHO hadn't done what he did for the future, for us -- all of us), stopped trying to get supplies, and fired those on the lookout for outbreaks. If we elected an incompetent once, we might reelect him or select another just as inept. When we can't trust those we MUST trust, we will be disappointed and many will be fearful.

Actually the amount of deaths from flu each year is about 5k if you go by death certificate. Most flu deaths get classified as pneumonia or heart failure. The CDC monitors hospitalizations with a small amount of hospitals and uses that to project unreported sickness incidents, then uses that estimate to project deaths. This is how they get the 5k number up to 50k.

Right now a lot of states are testing as little as possible. Pneumonia and other deaths are way up, but Covid-19 deaths are flat. POtuS isn't actually capable of leadership or handling this pandemic so he's just hiding it. The sad thing is that the economy won't recover until people feel safe, and they won't feel safe until a leader emerges. That doesn't look like it's going to happen.

The combination of all flu strain deaths is between 24k to 60k per year in the U.S. This pandemic is two to four times the usual. Yes, alot of paranoia... not necessarily climbing as fast as may seem because volume of tests being done and speed of results is much higher than six weeks back..

We live in a state with 21M+ people.

You do you people. Wear a mask if you are uncomfortable in a store. Wash your hands (although I'm not sure why you weren't before). If it's that uncomfortable, STAY HOME.
Would you behave any differently with a flu outbreak? You know that comes every year without fail. Every year they have a vaccine. Every year thousands of people die from the flu.
