Miles Morris’s memorial will be Sunday, June 14 at Pensacola Blvd Church of Christ at 2:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family would like for you to send donations to the Klaas Kids Foundation, Escambia Search and Rescue, and/or Monroe County Rescue Squad. These individuals and their dogs worked tirelessly along with Fish and Wildlife Conservation in the search for Pawpaw.

Yes, those were the good ole days when Central Stores, Vehicle Maintenance and Landscape Svcs were all ‘down the hill’ and we were in Bldg. 87. Seems when we all moved into the new complex things changed. We had many good times back then and it was a pleasure to go to work.

Yeah, it’s sad, but as you said, he went doing something he loved.

I worked @ Central Stores (down the hill) in late 80s, & he always brightened the office when he came in… d’you remember old Joe Martin or Ken Aldridge? Great guys to work for, as well.

I’m so sorry to hear of Buddy’s passing. He was a good man and he was always so fun to be around when we would all get together with the Morris family. He was definitely doing what he loved to do. Praying for all of his family and friends.

I loved working with Miles during my time at UWF. He was always the highlight of our days there. Always cutting up, being funny…just being Miles! Always pleasant, happy and easy going. Such a great man to work with. He always told me he hoped he’d die hunting or fishing…just doing what he loved! I will miss you, my dear friend!

Wow, so sorry to read this. I met Miles back in 88 when I worked for Skippy and Nancy Brown at Quality Auto Parts. He would come in for parts and machine shop work. God bless the family.
