Wasn't it District 2 Commissioner Doug Underhill, the Commissioner who kept that one area closed for years even though it was bought to increase access to the beach. I think I remember that some surmised that there was some favoritism or some deal being worked with that condo next to it to keep "US" away from "THEM". So now he says "oh you will damage the fragile eco system'" Ill tell you how fragile it is, Hurricane Ivan all but stripped Johnson beach off the map, no one did anything to make it recover and now the dunes are so tall and unkept that you cant use the boardwalks half the time....I wonder if that is done on purpose so they can move on with their master plan to make that area a tourist trap.

If we do not take action to preserve exclusiveness, then the beaches will be over run with peasants. The only thing that they are good for is cheap labor and paying taxes.

If they want sand, let them purchase a sand box for their residence.

Not nearly enough public parking spaces. That way Perdido Beach is reserved for Condo Residents. Unless you plan to pay to enter the National Seashore it’s best to stay away.
