Richard, the reason the country has never shut down in the past is due to having a strong leader who actually listened to experts and just didn’t play one on tv. Trump is the captain of the boat and as usual he’s run it aground.

In my 65 years we have had other pandemics that never we shut down the government nor quarantined healthy people. Sick people and people exposed were quarantined at home or hospital. High risk people should be responsible and protect ourselves and not the state. President Trump should fire Dr. Fauci.

Seriously. Do you even follow what is going on or are you really that uninformed. If you had read the article, 75% of the deaths here are in long term facilities. That means, the staff did not follow protocol set out by the CDC. Period.

As testing increases, more will show positive. Doesn’t mean they are going to die. Do you stay home when it’s flu season or wear a face mask when you go out? This is a country of over 300M+ citizens. The small number of deaths is devastating to the families, but a small percentage comparably.

This country cannot survive remaining closed. If you are not comfortable going out, stay home. Move away from your television. Turn off the doom and gloom the media is portraying. Live your life.

Changing your political party is your choice. If you want the government to completely take over your life, go ahead and vote that way. After the behavior of the Dumocrat party has portrayed in the last 3+ years, they deserve to be voted out. Nothing but chaos. Nothing accomplished.
