My parents are in their 80’s. They received the card in the mail on Tuesday. When I visited them today, mom showed it to me. She was fixing to send it to the shredder. Somewhat upset some company would be sending her an unsolicited credit card she didnt want. It was only because of this article I knew it to be their stimulus money. Sure enough, mom called to activate the card and it was their $2400 stimulus payment.. Frustrating as they typically dont use debit or credit cards. Now, they will go to the bank and see if they can convert it it to cash without having to pay a fee to access the money. From the looks of things they are going to be forced to pay some transaction fees to access the payment.

This type of payment wasnt a good option for them.

I entered my direct deposit information on the IRS website because I had my taxes done though HR Block. “Get My Payment” first stated my stimulus would be direct deposited April 24th, then updated starting that it would be mailed April 24th. I updated my change of address with USPS, checked my former address (on my tax return), and still nothing. I need my check ASAP. Any suggestions???
