First of all, You can’t wait till fall because the virus will probably start ramping up again once temperatures start cooling off so you’re either going to have to make a decision to let your children play or not play. The way I see it, the reason they are not letting kids go to school is because school Time is inside the school and we know that viruses like to live indoors where there is closer contact and if you try to send the kids to school they are going to have to be 6 feet apart which means you’re going to need many more seats and many more classrooms and many more teachers in order to accomplish the proper social distancing guidelines. At least with outdoor sports the parents will be there & the parents help with the children

Why would this be allowed . Schools closed (per Govener,no high school ball (per FHSAA )But you want kids to play ball and parents to abide by social distancing . Really bad idea .

Right on sports dad, the kids will be fine. Parents know what’s good for the kids because the powers tjay be absolutely do not have a clue.

@Nonsense…I agree whole heartedly. As much as we are a sports family and love the game, our decision for our son was easily made. He will not participate in spring sports. Fall maybe but this is too soon. I don’t believe we have seen the peak of this epidemic.

This seems like a horrible idea. They cancel high school, collegiate, and professional sports to protect the players, but you want to allow kids to play! They close schools for the remainder of the year to protect kids, but you’ll allow them to play ball together. Obviously from the pictures in the article, kids cannot maintain social distancing from each other while playing ball. Way too early to allow this to happen! Be patient and wait until fall.
