I challenge everyone (if you are still getting a regular paycheck, that is) to take a little of your paycheck and please find someone who needs help and help them. I have been doing this since the beginning of this situation. I have a couple of elderly people (and some who aren’t elderly) that I deliver supplies to weekly. I keep in contact with them by phone and ask what they need or what they are out of. Isn’t that what life is about – helping your fellow man? YES – IT IS! So if you are one of those fortunate people who still have a regular paycheck coming in, please think about what I have said. I look for no praise or glory for what I am doing – I do it because they need it and it makes me feel good to know I’m helping someone who needs it. We all need help at some point in life, for one thing or another. Think about the homeless people we use to see standing by the road asking for money – where are they now? I will be putting together goodie bags this week for them and I will be searching for them on Saturday afternoon to give them just a little something. This is also a small gesture that almost anyone can do. Throw soap, shampoo, deodorant and some snacks/drinks in a Ziplock bag. This is a real treasure to some of the less fortunate in our world. Their faces light up as though you just handed them a million dollars! Just think about it.
