Manager in P’cola, how the general public has responded is completely irresponsible. Absolutely no one is taking this seriously here. I have customers (elderly and young) who come in to buy a Coke/candy daily, I fear daily what I might bring home to my wife or children.

I’m no deep state crazy, but this thought keeps crossing my mind, especially when I read these virus posts. We know China lies, just like our government some times lies. We know when China lies, it’s always in their favor. We know a few things about the China/US trade war, ie how badly China’s economy is doing. We have no verifiable info on how badly the virus affected China. Maybe the virus was or wasn’t an accident in Red Land? Maybe the trade war is hurting China more than we know? Or, maybe Xi has just reallly, really gotten his feelings hurt (so now he’s willing to use the illness to his advantage)?

Big picture for me…. I don’t want my grandchildren speaking Chinese and eat bats to keep from starving to death. Whatever it takes to get us back on our feet, I’m for that.

I am pretty sure I am healthy enough to survive the virus were I to become infected. However, my elderly family members like my grandmother most likely would not survive. My mother and my grandmother are both very wise in knowledge and years so I want them around to help me with my family as I need that wisdom.

In the case of those not willing to listen to the warnings or not willing to believe the warnings–their elderly family member will be the ones who suffer for the arrogance and disbelief of the younger healthy members of the family when the disbelievers bring it home to grandma or grandpa.

@ Bring It On: I don’t think your opinion of your intellect will remain as high as it is now when you contract the virus, or worse yet, watch your wife sicken and possibly die because you brought it home to her.

The crematoriums in Italy are running 24/7 and they still can’t keep up. The bodies are being removed by the truckloads in military vehicles. Funerals are a thing of the past. No one bothers with them now because it’s impossible. 3 weeks ago, they had your attitude. Look where they are now.

Wise up! If you insist on going to work, at least practice social distancing and personal safeguards to avoid the virus if at all possible. Better yet, stay home!!

Robert, you’re absolutely correct. They shouldn’t be listening to Fox News, or CBS or NBC or any other news outlet bc the media all have bias and agendas. You should be listening to the CDC and only the CDC. And the CDC says nothing about staying at home. Nothing about self quarantine(unless your sick). The CDC says to stay away from sick people, stay home if you’re sick and try your best to stay 6ft away from other people. The media has turned everyone into scared little sheep. The media is the reason why our country is collapsing bc of this virus. They are single handedly turning this pandemic into a caution contest. They are loving their ratings and all the views and clicks but meanwhile millions of people are losing their jobs. It’s despicable what the media has done to this country in the last month. So everyone needs to chill out and listen to the CDC. When they say that everyone should stay home, then I’ll stay home. Until then I’ll go on with my life and keep my distance from people

@ Bring it on. They are not sheep in Italy either. They were not going to be told what to do either and look at them. They are all right aren’t they! To err in the side of caution is sensible but to act as though nothing is different is beyond foolish and can cause harm to others you don’t even know. Just be sensible!

My sister’s job closed down today and that is their only source of income
She takes care of my mama. A senior citizen who does not work. A lot of families
Are stuck no food, no source of income to pay utilities rent mortgage people need help
Now not tomorrow quit waiting on Congress or a bill to pass! What if it was your family or a loved one put that into consideration.
