When has fresh air, sunshine, ocean water and exercise been dangerous?
Remember folks and politicians America is NOT North Korea. Americans have a right to assemble under the first amendment to our constitution, something our Governor swore to uphold. If you are afraid of the beach, stay home but do not close a place to the public that literally will kill a virus
and enhance health.

So, they finally are closing Pensacola Beach. Now we wait 14 days to see how many people are infected? Allowing the beach to remain open lined some pockets. Locals know who stood to make a buck and whose campaigns they contribute to.

Our local politicians are failing us miserably by keeping our beaches open and all the previous comments hit the nail on the head. If you care about your constituents and your own families CLOSE OUR BEACHES!!

So disappointed with our local government. President Trump has asked us to stay home for 15 days. Social distancing. Senator Scott has said get off the beaches. Yet our local government does want to lose a penny of tourism. So what do they do. Put the rest of us in harms way. These young people and tourists will flood this area. Coming from states that have more active cases. Our hospitals are overwhelmed in some states and at this rate so will ours. They are not thinking of the residents of the county. And, they are not thinking of the healthcare workers who are unselfishly putting themselves in harms way in order to help those who become ill with this virus. We cannot get this virus under control unless everyone takes it serious. These folks at the beaches are not following cdc guidelines. Our governing officials know these folks are not! It is selfish of our local government and selfish of the tourist that are on the beaches. It should be the health and safety of our citizens. First and foremost. Not tourist dollars.
Maybe the governor will step in and tell them to close the beaches. That is why our government has to step in because some of us don’t have enough sense to do what’s right!!!

So, we can have tourists from other beaches come and buy our already depleted supplies and get our community sick and take beds in local hospitals when they’re too sick to travel home? Why is this ok?

Are the beaches in Okaloosa County getting closed what will stop people from going to Escambia County beaches? What is going to stop people from gathering in crowds of over 20?
