Honestly, it surprises us More when we see a bicyclist actually obeying the Rules of the Road than not.
Rarely do we ever see anyone on a bike stop when they have a red-STOP light or sign. No matter if on any of the outlying roads but also middle of downtown Pensacola.
Like Mama used to say, “Lord looks out for drunks and fools”

I’m amazed that there aren’t more accidents like this on Pace and Cervantes. People ride their bikes in the road, without showing any caution to the cars around them. It scares me every time I see them. I’ve rode a mountain bike most of my life but I follow the rules of the road and stay off dangerous roads. I see people riding all over the road, changing lanes without taking care, riding down the median and acting like they have the right of way, which they don’t. J-walking is the other issue on these roads, they won’t go to the cross walk or take the precautions that most of us would take to keep from getting hit. This may not be the case in this accident but it is in a lot of cases.
