It has been over 12 days since I was tested - STILL NO RESULTS yet. I was one of the 500 who did the drive through testing at Sacred Heart. It is so ineffective, there is no way you can extrapolate a rise or fall of infected people until everyone with symptoms gets tested AND gets the results back timely.

The scary thing is that these aren’t even accurate totals because they’re only based on the limited number of people that were actually tested. Plenty of people probably have it, myself included, but aren’t tested unless they have either traveled or can specifically name someone they were exposed to, due to the shortage in tests. I’ve had symptoms for over a week now, including a low grade fever, dry cough, a constant pressure in my chest/lungs, and shortness of breath. I even have a Drs recommendation to be tested for COVID19 but every facility in the county that I’ve called has rejected me to be tested because They are strictly following CDC guidelines regarding risk of exposure. I was also told that since there’s no real treatment, it doesn’t matter if I’m tested or not unless I’m needing assistance breathing, otherwise to just quarantine myself at home. How many others have it and are being told the same thing but are still leaving their house and possibly exposing others? And even though I have been self quarantining, what about those I could have exposed unknowingly beforehand? Those people also don’t qualify to get tested either now since they aren’t able to name me as a “confirmed” case. It is incredulous to me that people are still having such a difficult time getting tested when we live in the most prosperous nation in the world. Even more frustrating is seeing how much easier it seems for the celebrities, athletes and politicians - even though many of them don’t even have symptoms. For the record, I’m a middle aged, female with no underlying health issues.
Stay safe and healthy everyone... this disease is definitely no joke.

It would be nice to know what day these people gave the blood sample tested. Articles on this website and elsewhere have talked about excessive delays in getting test results back. It is possible these people had the virus and are better before the results even came back.

We need to get rid of certain news organizations and stop deliberately puffed up hype! WEAR's headline this morning: : Corona cases increasing in Northwest Florida, death toll at 46.!!! Totally misleading and irresponsible to make readers think 46 people died in NW Florida - while in reality the fatalities are for the whole State of Florida.

The real heroes are the doctorates, nurses, techs, and support staff at every clinic, hospital, and senior care home.

They are putting their own lives and families on the line. Throughout the world.
