If anybody has taken any basic driving courses, or took math classes, then you would know that even only going 35, hitting a stationary object can create an obscene amount of force, esp. without a seatbelt & if you were unprepared. With the roads being wet, it’s possible he hit a wet spot & hydroplaned. Until the investigation is complete, no one will know what happened, so it’s best to not speak down on something without knowing the full story.

replying to j….. yes going 35mph can generate enough force to eject you from the vehicle, especially without a seatbelt on.. when you hit a hard stationary item…. prayers for the family of this person.. hope they survived this accident..

Maybe we should consider the driver may have had a medical emergency which cause the acceleration before we start judging that they were speeding intentionally. How would you feel if it was your relative seeing these kind of comments?

Maybe slow down a bit? I mean the speed limit on that road is 35 mph … so hitting a stationary object shouldn’t have generated enough force to eject someone from the vehicle … Sorry … not trying to be mean.
