They did that for hurricane evacuations but all it’s ever done is wreak havoc. If we evacuate, we go North not south and I’ve never evacuated WEST to Alabama from the North end of the county where I live. I’ve gone East and I’ve gone north up 29. It still takes 30 minutes from 9 mile to the interstate in the morning and another 30 minutes in the evening sitting in a neverending grid lock because north bound Pine Forest is still TWO lanes. Add to the fact they built a Marketplace that’s nearly impossible to get in and out of from Pine Forest road, someone that lives on our end of the county needs to have some major rights to decision making of any future planning of the roads we use every day.
