You must be able to lift at least 40 pounds, be physically flexible, and endure prolonged periods of standing and sitting. You must be able to deal patiently and courteously with the public and with your co-workers. It’s best if you’re a non-smoker; there is NO SMOKING in and around polling places on Election Day. You must meet these requirements and fulfill all responsibilities of the particular poll-worker position you wish to fill. You must be registered to vote in Escambia County.
