How this is regulated with the hundreds of different insurance companies would make for an interesting article. Most drivers claim they had no idea their license is suspended. Of course a lot of these drivers carry no insurance in the first place.
One thing for sure – we all pay for the damages these drivers cause with higher premiums.

I spent my teen years waiting to get off of a school bus for the last time. I sure wouldn’t want to enter another one…especially that way.
