The use of someone else’s money without their consent is called theft. Tax money is collected by an implied act of force i.e. you don’t pay you go to jail or they take your property. Just because one wouldn’t mind paying more taxes if the money went to their own pet ideas or project does not mean everyone agrees. Why have it collected by the government? One could just donate to a charity or better yet directly help one’s neighbor. The only reason the Government is involved is so politicians can be “generous” with other peoples money and buy votes. Again this is not Christian. It is not just the ends that matter to Christ, but also the manner in which something is done. Stealing is wrong whether done by an individual or government regardless of the reason. Christianity is when you reach into your pocket and help. I'm glad that our TAX DOLLARS went to help the people who needed it and we should all take this example AS CHRISTIANS that we should be helping others who need it. If I knew that it would mainly go to helping the COMMUNITY, i would not mind paying MORE TAXES TO HELP THE NEEDY. Praise GOD for the ACT OF KINDNESS.
