Has anyone making comment sactually taken the time to read the information about this work? The work is not done. They are making an additional traffic phase to get two (2) westbound 9-Mile lanes open to Navy Federal Way in an effort to move traffic on 9-Mile, which in-turn will allow traffic from westbound I-10 to exit onto westbound 9-Mile. There will eventually be a traffic signal at the eastbound I-10 Ramps, but nothing really has changed at this intersection,except for the volume of traffic. There were 2-lanes westbound and 2-lanes eastbound and no traffic signal before construction. There are 2-lanes westbound and 2-lanes eastbound and no signal now (there will be a signal when it is completed).

Still a lot of work to do.

There is also talks of making a Beulah Road connection to the Interstate. Looks like the study is for Beulah to be moved to the west and a new I-10 Intersection created. Lots of Government regulations to jump through to get anything done.

This change in traffic flow may aid the current state of service but is not a Home run. even after the four lanes are completed to Beulah, the level of service will continue to be poor and only get worse with time and future development.

FDOT is NOT keeping up with its PLANNING AHEAD. Navy Federal was permitted with FDOT driveways onto highway 90 under the promise and commitment from Escambia County and FDOT that the highway would be expanded to maintain the proper Level of Service. Meanwhile Beulah is being developed and permits issued with inadequate public access. As a Beulah resident, my travel time to and from work in downtown Pensacola has changed from 16 minutes to as much as 45 minutes or more. What a waste of time and fuel (taxed by state and county). I wonder how much gas tax has been produced at this location while everyone sits and waits.

Come on FDOT lets see some planning and construction performance!

@DB.

I wouldn't be so quick to cry Dumb. Traffic engineers have to keep the exit ramp off I-10 flowing to mitigate the traffic accumulating on I-10's westbound shoulder.

I hope I don't have to explain to you why it's safer to have traffic backed up on 9 mile as opposed to I-10.

They need to adjust the stop light timing @ i-10/9mile
People getting off i-10 get about 90 seconds, people on 9 mile get about 15 seconds.
Dumb, but I don't expect anything less.

So happy to see this construction coming to an end... My only recommendation would be to put a red light exit 5 for those exitingI-10 and trying to turn left.. It is horrible any time of the day to get off there. Or, maybe put an on and off ramp at Beulah Road and I-10... Either one would be very helpful.

East bound off ramp intersection at nine mile rd is very dangerous here. No traffic light . A stop sign and have to cross 2 traffic lanes and a turn lane and no median. I’ve personally nearly been in a wreck here more than once
