I witnessed a miracle not only the firefighters but the lovely couple that went to bed 10 minutes before he exploded in the living room 10 minutes before he never even hit the brakes ! Miracle by God !

@ Anne you are absolutely correct, people do not yield to blue lights at all and will try and out run them if they can, but let a funeral come by and all 5 lanes come to a stop.

Friday morning a dear friend had left home on Navy Blvd near NAS. She had pulled into the right lane as the First Responders, many law enforcement, ambulances, fire trucks, etc. all were streaming toward the Main Gate in response to the shootings.
Her car was STOPPED as it should be and she had her video going. It was totally a surprise the number of drivers who crept past her while the Emergency Vehicles with lights flashing and sirens screaming were in the opposite lanes.
It was minutes before she was able to drive on but the thought of those inconsiderate and careless drivers sticks in all our thoughts. What can be so important that you get in the traffic when Emergency Responders are approaching?
Pull OVER to the right and Stay PUT.

Glad no one hurt….yes they were the first outside fire truck at the gate. Remember NAS Pensacola has their own fire and security departments.
