They then either encrypt and change your passwords or just change your passwords either way you are completely screwed at that point. But seriously someone has to let them in the pc for them to be able to do that. If you go into dos you can find the file where they have stored their programs and change some code to "break" the program sometimes you don't even need to use dos. I've actually had to do this a time or two for family members lol.
