We’re all in trouble… according to usdebtclock . org, over past 19 years:
– income has gone up 10%
– healthcare up 100%
– houses up 100%
and I think insurance has gone up over 200% While we work hard for money, the fed prints it like water.

We need the buses runs til 830pm every day Monday thru Saturday every hour we definitely have alot of people riding the bus all day til night

Don’t be fooled in to thinking they did any employee justice. This happens every year. Nothing special. Go peruse the BOCC websites and look at the pay for the jobs performed. Office personnel have better pay then those employees with the MOU’s. The BOCC assistants make more than these folks.

The last I heard the Amalgamated Transit Union would not sign a MOU.
Therefore many deserving employees at Solid Waste, Parks and Rec. and the Road Dept. have not received this raise.

I’m sure they appreciated the 3% raise and the 60$ a month insurance premium increase for family coverage! Happens every time, politicize the raise and leave out that the insurance company suckied it up faster than a street sweeper! Congrats Escambia for superb insurance premium negotiations.

A COLA isn’t a wage increase, it’s just an adjustment for inflation and nothing special when insurance went up for many employees
